Job Description:
 
Reporting to the Chief Geologist or designate, the successful candidates will work a 14 day on/14 day off rotation at the Lac des Iles mine site.
 
Mapping and sampling in underground and/or open pit development and production headings.
Blasthole, drillhole and drill core processing (tracking, logging, sampling)
Data collection and entry, tracking grades and tonnes on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Communicate daily with Engineering, Production and Development personnel.
Work with Geological personnel to develop a 3D understanding of the lithological and structural
controls on mineralization at the mine.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Follow company policies and legislative standards.
Ability to effectively communicate any hazards or concerns to supervisor.
Other tasks as may be assigned by the Chief Geologist.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • 3 year College, or undergraduate or greater University degree in Geology.
  • Able to perform as a part of the team in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Previous underground experience is an asset.
  • Experience with software such as AutoCAD/Amine, Datamine, Fusion/Dhlogger and LEAPFROG, as well as the Microsoft Office suite of programs. Will train as required.
  • Verbal and written proficiency of the English language.
  • Able to perform manual labor.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Junior Engineer
