The Opportunity
 
The Production Technician is directly responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly of Genrep generator units, engines, brand generators, and their associated components and parts, as well as the assembly of power units and other power generation products, as might be specified by the Vice President, Western Canada.
 
Main Responsibilities:
 
  • Assemble, repair, adjust and modify all components of the generator, engine and switchgear
  • Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment within the facility
  • Understand and make daily efforts to prioritize and address Key Performance Indicators
  • Deliveries & Deadlines
  • Efficiency & Productivity
  • Cost Reduction
  • Troubleshoot Equipment and Generator Components including Alternators, Wiring Harnesses, Safety Devices, and Battery Systems
  • Read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Maintain a clean & organized shop and work-space
  • Maintain shop equipment to ensure they operate safe and well and alert their supervisor as soon as repairs or scheduled maintenance is required
  • Always perform duties in a safe and effective manner and follow all Genrep and Provincial/Federal safety standards and guidelines
  • Responsible for clean-up of warehouse, production and property areas
  • Follow all Genrep policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or required by business needs
 
Desired Skill, Knowledge, and Experience:
 
  • High-school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Ability to evaluate the operating conditions of equipment
  • Experience with automotive parts, industrial engines, and/or generators is an asset
  • Working knowledge of the Parts associated with engines and/or generators is an asset
  • Heavy Duty Equipment Technician and/or Millwright certifications and/or training are an asset
  • Experience with computer control panel interface, programmed logic control troubleshooting, and/or programming is an asset
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multi-task, manage priorities, and meet deadlines with deep attention to detail
  • Ability to work overtime hours as needed
  • Self-starter that demonstrates initiative and identifies opportunities – take direction
  • Can physically lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly; can work while standing for up to 8 hours and/or remain seated for up to 8 hours
  • Team player with excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships
  • Computer proficiency with a thorough knowledge of MS Office
 

EXPERIENCED WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT – AUTOMOTIVE (MISSISSAUGA)

Assisting in the warehouse with production (assembly) and maintenance (cleaning and repairs).

INVENTORY ASSISTANT – MISSISSAUGA

Genrep is positioned for significant growth and we are currently looking for an enthusiastic Inventory Assistant who will be responsible for day-to-day inventory control, cycle counting, part picking, data entry and basic data analysis.
