Mission description
 
  • Assist in the implementation of QHSE audits and site inspections;
  • Assist in the implementation the improvement plans or actions in order to enhance the project Quality results;
  • Assist in the preparation of the Project Management Review meeting(s);
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Risk Management System in accordance with the Job Specifications and Corporate procedures, this includes operability and safety in design aspects;
  • Conduct hazard and risk assessments to identify and manage risks.
  • Support internal training programs to ensure awareness and understanding of QHSE standards and the relevance to business objectives.
  • Support business line managers to maintain technical procedures as requested and mandated by specific standards.
  • Provide support to business line managers to develop safe work practices, job hazard analysis, and behavioral interventions and step back.
  • Monitors and assists with implementation of project HSE plan and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists in conducting and identifying when project-specific training is required, which may include weekly training topics, hazard specific training, and the HSE Operating Procedure (HSEOP).
  • Participates in and provides information for HSE meetings based on direction provided.
  • Conducts and documents project HSE inspections.
  • Assists project management and supervision with the implementation of the emergency response plan.
  • Other duties as required.
 
Profile
 
  • Education relating to QHSE and a minimum of 3 years of experience in QHSE and industrial projects
  • Experience of ISO considered an asset
  • Experience of provincial OHS legislation & worksite health and safety committees considered an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills in English (both oral and written) and composure.
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented, ability to gather and interpret data, compile information & prepare reports, ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure, ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, ability to travel on a regular basis.
