Battlefield Equipment Rentals (a division of Toromont Industries Ltd.), is currently seeking individual for our Stoney Creek location for the following challenging opportunity.
Road Service Technician
We have an immediate opening for a new road service technician position for our South region, operating from our Stoney Creek location. Our South region operates within a team-oriented atmosphere that places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available as well as maintaining a flow of information on that equipment for both the rental staff and the sales staff. This road service technician is critical to the success of our customer relationships.
Key Qualifications
- An experienced technician, familiar with performing failure analysis and repair on all types of construction equipment;
- Extensive background and knowledge of construction equipment, building products, and the necessary parts and services to maintain and repair both
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairs;
- Existing knowledge of the service/maintenance requirements for all types of construction equipment;
- Ability to work independently, skilled in time management and organization;
- Familiarity of the region, and the ability to maneuver efficiently and effectively within all traffic situations;
- Adaptable to on-call work schedules and willing to work in all weather conditions;
- Willing to work flexible shifts to meet the demands of the business, including afternoon shifts;
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS would be considered beneficial);
- A customer-centric and positive attitude; good communication skills;
- A valid G-class driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract is mandatory.
Additional Qualifications
- Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting, as heavy lifting will be required frequently;
- Your own tools are required, and a clean driver’s abstract is mandatory.

Rental Advisor and Yardman
- Meets and advises customers about equipment rentals.
- Writes up and closes rental contracts in computerize system.
Driver, Class 5
- Fastens equipment and tools in the truck in a secure manner.
- Delivers and pick up equipment and tools at the client's site.
