Fort McMurray, AB - Safway Services Canada ULC. is building a skilled and dedicated team to deliver world class scaffold and industrial services to Canada's top oil and gas companies Affiliated with Local 1325 Alberta Regional Council of Carpenters and Allied Workers. Safway will arrange membership and dispatch for non-members. We are currently seeking Journeyman Scaffold Erectors for our Suncor Baseplant operations in Fort McMurray Alberta. Preference will be given to those with industrial and/or experience and knowledge.
 

Scaffolders erect and dismantle temporary work support platforms or structures that hold workers, tools, equipment, and construction components.

- Scaffolders provide other trades with safe, secure access to areas both indoors and outdoors.

- Design and construction of ground-based and/or suspended scaffolds

- May be required to plan, and order on-site scaffolding materials

- Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed and on-site client relations are positive

- Assist apprentices with planning proper resource for all scaffold activities within the work scope

- Scaffolders work mostly outdoors at a variety of locations, extreme heights, and all weather conditions.

 

As the successful candidate your skills will include:

- Requires specific experience in the construction industry

- Requires minimum 3 years of field experience.

- Requires basic math skills and the ability to follow instructions

- The ability to work at heights

- Must have physical strength and endurance

- Be available for camp work

- Have experience working and erecting scaffolding in a live plant

- Camp Accommodation is available for non-locals

- This is a Full-Time position

Benefits are provided by Alberta Regional Council of Carpenters and Allied Workers Local 1325. The Current Wage offering for Journeymen is $42.78 plus 10% vacation pay and $6.60 in pension contributions. Positions available: 50.
