Job Description
 
The outside Sales Representative will be responsible for growing the sales of Simco-Ion's industrial products and Teknek's contact cleaning. In this role, the employee will engage with various customers in an engineering and manufacturing environment. He/she will find and cultivate sales leads and form new relationships. This position requires travel 80% of time within a specified territory to scheduled sales calls, customer site demonstrations, and product trainings. We are looking for someone capable of conducting presentations remotely when necessary. Who is proficient in Sales and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.  Industries served include:  printing, automotive, non-woven, food, medical packaging, bottling, injection molding, film coating and converting. Territory is Wisconsin, and Northwest Milwaukee. The Sales Representative position will be based in Milwaukee. However, onboarding and initial new hire training will be at our business unit in Hatfield, PA for 3-6 weeks. The company will provide all demo equipment, laptop, printer, cell phone, and company car.
 
Essential Duties include (but are not limited to): 
 
  • Originate, pursue and close orders for Simco-Ion and Teknek product lines  
  • Generate sales leads using ITW’s 80/20 business model
  • Follow up on leads generated by SI resources (i.e. website, trade shows, social media, etc.)
  • Travel throughout assigned territory soliciting orders from existing and prospective customers
  • Daily use of SalesForce to enter: sales calls, customer contacts, quotes and opportunity updates; maintain accurate records in SalesForce
  • Vigorously pursue growth in the territory, focusing on target accounts and innovative strategies
  • Technical aptitude and ability to understand product design and intent and is comfortable presenting and selling new products
  • Provide input on product feature enhancements and process improvements
  • Assist in the customer-back innovation (CBI) process, identifying customers’ needs and sales opportunities for future growth
  • Perform technical and product trainings; serve as primary technical contact with customer
  • Prepare sales presentations, contracts, and proposals, subject to review by supervisor
  • Assist end-users & OEMs on planning the installation of products
  • Ability to meet personal sales targets
  • Ability to produce results while working remotely and independently with limited day-to-day coaching and supervision
  • Resolve customer issues in a manner consistent with ITW values
  • Submit expenses accurately and on-time
  • Travel required 80% or more (3-5 days per week); overnight stays as needed
 
Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • 2 - 5 years (related) field sales experience 
  • Valid/current Driver’s License
