Territory: Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the eastern parts of British Columbia

Under the responsibility of the Business Development Manager Admixtures, the position holder fulfills the responsibility linked to sales and support of Concrete Admixture products to Ready Mix, Precast and Major Project concrete producers of his territory.
 
Main tasks and responsibilities of the position:
 
  • Is responsible of sales and support of Concrete Admixture products to Ready Mix, Precast and other concrete producers throughout a defined geographic territory
  • Ensures complete geographical coverage of assigned territory through an effective and efficient time and territory management plan
  • Sales activity will include cold calling, drawing on established contacts, and following up with all leads acquired through other methods
  • Is willing and able to call on all levels within an organization as required. This may include product training to truck drivers and production personnel up line to senior management, owners and the like
  • May have to drive up to 4000 kilometers per month or more when required
  • Conducts accurate field tests/customer demonstrations at either customer locations, key project locations, or any of our locations
  • Does basic concrete field testing and conducts all of the various field tests.
  • Does an excellent record keeping of all test data.
  • Conducts sales presentations to key clients and prospective customers.
  • Is involved with related concrete industry associations and is willing to sit on technical committees, board member, etc.
  • Attends trade shows and other such events as required
  • Is able to travel abroad, including the US, for various trade shows and training
  • Is able to work a dynamic and flexible schedule when required
  • Is willing and able to assist other representatives, lab personnel and dispensing equipment personnel as required in a safe manner
  • Assists with the creation of realistic and profitable sales budgets
  • Builds thorough concrete market knowledge
  • Maintains customer and contact database using CRM
  • Does regular reporting, including monthly sales reports up line to BDM and others as required.
  • Any other related tasks
 
Requested skills
 
  • HSD with 2-year experience in sales, customer service in a similar industry and environment and a minimum of 3-year concrete experience. Must have thorough knowledge of concrete production
  • Very good English, both spoken and written
  • Basic understanding of dispensing equipment and operation, an asset
  • ACI concrete test certification and other Concrete Technical courses, an asset.
  • Understanding of concrete mix designs.
  • Can do product training at a professional level
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook is a must
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • Very good knowledge of the industry standards
  • Very good communication and negotiating skills
  • Sense of planning and organization
  • Courtesy and discernment
  • Capacity to work under pressure and adaptation capacity
  • Perseverance and good interpersonal relationship
  • Valid Driver’s licence

Sales Representative

Under the responsibility of the Business Development Manager Admixtures, the position holder fulfills the responsibility linked to sales and support of Concrete Admixture products to Ready Mix, Precast and Major Project concrete producers of his territory.
