Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Process Innovation, the Business Analyst is responsible to lead, manage and execute a variety of basic to moderately complex projects in the functional area, ensuring all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. The incumbent provides the Safety and Medical businesses in Canada and cross functional  teams with business data reporting and analysis.  They are responsible for database administration, data consolidation, data analysis and management reporting. They utilize various software platforms to generate metrics and develop actionable recommendations. They provide support to functional teams and management by developing, collecting and analyzing data and reporting results based on the needs of the end users.  
 
The Business Analyst collaborates cross functionally to ensure effective coordination and integration of systems information and Draeger processes. They serve as process owner for Global Master Data Management (GMDM) processes, including responsibility for localization, training and continuous improvement of related processes. The Business Analyst works closely with various functional departments and cross functional teams, ensuring timely and accurate processing and implementation, as well as ensuring ongoing accuracy of master data in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.
 
Main Accountabilities:
 
  • Develops reports and dashboards using CRM and SAP to provide key data for use in analyzing business performance and trending information to help drive operational success
  • Provides support to the Canadian business as needed on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, with the target to improve operations and turnaround times, reduce costs and create an in-depth view on the operations
  • Develops programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators and other end-user portals or resources to measure and analyze the effectiveness of the Canadian business for the purpose of driving operating efficiencies and customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for overall project planning, execution, and closure to achieve the program/project objectives (scope, schedule, cost, quality)
  • Provides local process ownership and continuous improvement 
  • Analyzes processes and procedures, as identified by Market Fulfillment Management, by mining and analyzing data for trends and patterns and makes recommendations for improvement and efficiencies            
Your Qualifications
 
Education:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline or the equivalent in education, training and experience
 
Related Experience:
 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience
  • Advanced Excel user working with PIVOT tables, reporting and analysis with large amounts of data. 
  • Experience gathering requirements and creating specs for report development. 
  • Experience evaluating and facilitating recommendations of various solution options. 
  • Experience working with the technical aspects of ERP systems such as SAP, CRM and BI
 
Special Competencies/Certifications
 
  • Strong SAP data design knowledge
  • Microsoft CRM design and reporting knowledge
  • SAP BI reporting development knowledge
  • Strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiar with a variety of the field concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Sound judgment
  • Certain degree of creativity and latitude
 
Working Conditions:
 
  • The position is based in Mississauga, Ontario. Remote work would be considered.
  • Fast paced office environment. 
  • May on occasion be requested to travel to other office locations or attend internal business meetings at offsite locations.
