Cambrian College’s Schools of Skills Training requires part-time Professors to teach within various programs beginning Spring and Summer 2021.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
 
Individuals will teach in the following programs:
 
  • Powerline Technician (PLTN)
Journeyperson Red Seal Certification as a Powerline Technician or Industrial Electrician.
 
  • Heavy Equipment Technician (HDTN)
Certificate of Qualification (Interprovincial Red Seal) as a Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment trade as well as a Certificate of Apprenticeship
 
  • Motive Power Technician – Truck and Coach (TCTN)
Certificate of Qualification (Interprovincial Red Seal) as a Journeyperson.
 
Qualifications
 
Required:
 
  • Must have credentials listed for specific programs listed above. (A copy of educational documents and certifications must be submitted with application - *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)
  • Five years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others and function effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to provide leadership and mentorship and be an effective role model in the classroom. 
  • Ability to utilize creative teaching approaches and current and emerging teaching and learning strategies to enhance student success.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of educational technologies, including in-class media presentation systems, learning management systems, and other relevant classroom technologies.  
  • Ability to work with students from diverse educational, religious, and cultural backgrounds. 
  • Solid commitment to students and education.
  • Excellent written communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer literacy and effective critical thinking and organizational skills.  
 
Additional Assets/Preferred:
 
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably at the postsecondary level.

Cambrian College’s Schools of Health Sciences, Nursing, and Emergency Services has an immediate requirement for an individual to work, on temporary part-time basis, as an evening Receptionist in the Dental Clinic.

International Business Management - Graduate Diploma
