Senior Hydrogeologist/Water Resource Engineer

- Oversight of site ground water monitoring and management programs, including data analysis and supervision of field programs;
- Working in a team environment to support the Mine Operations and Processing departments to maintain compliance with permits and regulations;
- Support for the design, implementation and operation of dewatering or groundwater interception systems implemented by the Mine Operations and Processing departments; including coordination of other external consultant efforts in conjunction with the Mine Operations and Processing departments;
- Oversight of consultant efforts related to ground water modelling, site water quality modelling and water management;
- Project management and contractor supervision (e.g. installation of monitoring wells and instrumentation);
- Integrate with the site team to support the site Environmental Management System, inclusive of environmental leadership and operational inspections;
- Support for ongoing permitting projects.
- A degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences with 8-10 years of experience;
- Registration as a P.Eng. or P.Geo. in British Columbia or eligible to become registered in BC;
- Design and management of groundwater monitoring programs;
- Operational experience related to the design, implementation and operation of dewatering or groundwater interception systems;
- Analysis of groundwater monitoring data;
- Review of groundwater models;
- Preparation of Mine Water Balances;
- Project Management experience.
- Successful completion of pre-placement functional screen
- Provide proof of a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada
- Provide confirmation of a valid Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science degree and professional registration
