Senior Underground Mine Engineer - Relocation Required

- Promote innovation and continuous improvement in safety by reviewing existing engineering designs and new designs,
- Review plans and designs for regulatory compliance and compliance to Company policies, procedures and standards,
- Promote and adhere to Company environmental and sustainability policies
- Lead underground mine engineering team in a safe and efficient manner to achieve departmental and corporate business objective,
- Be accountable for monthly Engineering department deliverables:
- Month Plan/Weekly Plan
- Month End Reporting
- Compliance to Plan Tracking and Reporting
- Improvement project reporting
- Stope reconciliation
- Support yearly budget and company business planning exercise,
- Optimize grade control and minimize dilution through effective incorporation of geologic data and tasks in mine plan,
- Liaise with Geotech team and incorporate guidance into mine plan,
- Provide guidance to operating departments to maximize production, plan their activities and accurately measure key mining parameters,
- Manage consultants and contractors on engineering projects,
- Contribute to the preparation of engineering studies,
- Mentor and coach Engineers in Training and Junior Engineers.
- A Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario and in good standing order with PEO and or eligible for membership with the PEO,
- A minimum of 5-7 years of mine operation and engineering experience in underground mine,
- Strong experience in underground mine planning, design, scheduling, production, and project management.
- Be technically competent and have a good understanding of key business drivers for gold mining,
- Deswik/MineSight software skill is regarded as an essential asset.
