SERVICE TECHNICIAN - VEHICLE FIRE SUPPRESSION TRAINEE

- Train in the inspection, maintenance and service of fire suppression equipment.
- Provide in shop support as required.
- Maintain service vehicle inventory and all required tools.
- Complete all applicable health and safety paperwork.
- Accurate and timely completion of service paperwork.
- Perform after hours and on call duties as required.
- Other Duties as assigned.
- Mechanical Aptitude.
- Prior experience working with vehicles is an asset.
- Comfortable using technology such as iPads, cell phones and laptops.
- Must be able to work out of town as required for extended periods up to 12 hours a day and overnight stays.
- Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract.
- Must successfully pass Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.
- Working in restricted work spaces and from ladders and walkways on large equipment.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions hot/cold.
- Good hand/eye coordination & manual dexterity.
- Prolonged sitting in vehicles, and driving times.
- Lift and carry up to 50lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to work with a respirator and/or be on supplied air.
- There will also be excessive noise from heavy machinery both mobile and stationary on some sites.
