Air Liquide Global Export Materials (ALGEM) is the Global Gas Sourcing and Supply Chain Platform of Air Liquide Group for electronic specialty materials and Industrial Merchant materials in APAC, managing more than 2,500 shipments a year, for all Air Liquide Affiliates in the world. Based in Singapore with four antennas in Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur, ALGEM manages sourcing, procurement and international logistics for globally and regionally traded materials (SiH4, NF3, CF4, etc..), all regions included (Asia/Europe/US/Middle-East).
 
In line with its long-term development plan, ALGEM scope will continue to expand involving management of more complex supply chains, with more products and new logistics routes, as well as bringing a step change in our supply chain (e.g. consignment points, Statistical Ordering Optimization) with a particular need to develop its presence in South East Asia.To support this development, ALGEM needs to have a strong team for developing Sourcing & Logistics operations as well as supporting affiliates to grow new business for AL.
 
Entity and activity description
 
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Planner is in charge of adminstrating overseas sales transactions and coordinating supply of products for ALGEM. To that extent, the ALGEM Planner is responsible for:
 
  • Monitoring actual shipping and forecast volume of AL subsidiaries in order to support on time delivery and sustained reliability
  • Coordinating supply of products / services with Logistics Coordinators
  • Ensuring timely and accurate communication to AL Affiliates regarding Supply planning (deviation, hazards ... etc)
  • Supporting ad-hoc supply chain improvements projects
 
She/He also should be able to communicate with cross functional team such as planners, asset managers, procurement, Business and QHSE within ALGEM organization to achieve ALGEM goal such as Safety, Quality, Reliability and Efficiency target.
 
The Planner is responsible for inventory and Planning from dedicated Affiliates as "Affiliates Person In Charge"
 
Missions and Responsibilities
 
Inventory Management
 
• ERP daily transaction and monitor - GIDEONS
• Monitor demands and inventory level of each countries to make sure there is no shortage in their stock
• Identify proactively supply risks and identify actions to be implemented
• Calculate and review forecast accuracy based on actual deliveries
 
Planning
 
• Receive and manage orders of products from AL Affiliates
• Provide timely and accurately visibility on the inventory status to related ALGEM department and AL Affiliates
• Ensure Timely update of the Order Tracking file for the related orders and scope
• Monitor the status of her/his orders through the ALGEM tools (Order Tracking File, NAVAL, Gideons reports) on a daily basis
• Working closely with asset specialist to review the available assets pool
• Monitor and report the potential supply risk by reviewing the discrepancy between Forecast vs Actual volume
• Provide visibility to ALGEM operation teams with effective, feasible and adequate customer requirements base on deep understanding of affiliate needs
 
Compliance and continuous improvement
 
• Cross functional work with logistics & planning, procurement, Business and QHSE within ALGEM organization to achieve ALGEM goal such as Safety, Quality, Reliability and Efficiency target.
• Comply with International Transport of dangerous goods regulation (Road and Sea Freight Transportation for Dangerous Goods)
• Identify the Logistics dysfunctions (leadtime, cost, quality) and suggest actions to improve the situations.
 
Competencies and Profile
 
Qualifications:
 
1. Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, International Trade or any related field
2. Min 2 years of work experience in relevant job scope with extensive experience in supply chain, order taking, logistics arrangement within the Chemical/Industrial Gas industry with a customer facing role.
3. Experience in dealing with Dangerous Goods cargoes and in Freight forwarding industry'
4. Good communication in English, very organized, rigorous, reliable, independent, transparent and diligent.
5. CPIM certification is preferred
 

Supply Chain Planner
