To provide safe and cost-effective survey services, by way of design, plans, and measurement data that communicate critical mining instructions to operators and development results to engineers.
 
Role Details
 
Prioritize, schedule, and plan assigned survey jobs:
 
  • Direct the survey team by assigning and quality controlling of survey jobs including;
  • Survey in the field; blast hole collars, pit/ramp/dump features, grade control packet boundaries,
  • Provide complete and accurate surveys and to the Senior Surveyors, planning group, and operations in a timely manner,
  • Ensure surveying equipment and vehicle are in a serviceable condition,
  • Fortnightly pit surveys and volume calculation.
 
Provide survey marks to allow the development of the mine to correct dimensions and grade:
 
  • Efficiently and effectively carry out the daily surveying tasks;
  • Benchmarks,
  • Pit and bench limits,
  • Grade control packets,
  • Blast hole design collars,
  • As drilled blast hole collars,
  • Geology drill rig setups.
 
Manage the priorities of your Survey team to support mining activities as well as exploration, construction, and special projects:
 
  • Assist the Senior Surveyor in organizing the survey teams so that fieldwork is executed in a timely, complete, and accurate fashion.
  • Monitor the quality of your survey team’s fieldwork.
  • Monitor the safety of the working practices of your survey team in the field.
 
Qualifications
 
What You Need to Succeed 
 
  • Technical Diploma from NATIN, or extensive on-job training.
  • 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs (ideally Excel, AutoCAD, GEMS).
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
  • Valid drivers’ license.

Junior Ground Control Engineer
  • Design and supervision of construction of geotechnical and hydrological structures such as foundations, slopes, excavations, diversion ditch, and dams;

The Senior Mining Engineer takes part in the development of economic studies of mining projects (approach, prefeasibility, feasibility). 

Senior Metallurgist

To ensure optimization of the Mill process is maintained through effective management and technical support to the Operations group as well as external support groups including Mine Technical Services and Mine Operations.

Bilingual Analyst, Global Supply Chain
