We are currently seeking a Team Lead, Maintenance to join our distribution center team and lead a team of technicians to conduct routine and complex repair and maintenance of various mechanical and electrical equipment to include powered conveyors, PLC systems, and other production equipment.
 
This position will report to our Manager, Logistics Engineering.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily leadership to a team of maintenance technicians, including motivating associates, assigning and delegating tasks, and providing technical direction to achieve department KPIs
  • Troubleshoot powered and non-powered conveyors, PLC/SLC systems, electrical/electronic systems, and other production equipment to determine root cause
  • Responsible for conducting routine maintenance and to repair or replace malfunctioning, obsolete operational equipment
  • Provide repair and operational support of optical scanning, weighing devices, PLC electronics, and other logic controls
  • Occasionally install new pneumatic or hydraulic powered systems, compressed air, electrical distribution, dock shelters, sheet metal, high rack storage, and conveyor systems
  • Other duties as necessary
 
Critical Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; associate’s degree in a mechanical or electrical discipline is preferred and/or an equivalent amount of education and related experience
  • 2+ years’ related experience in a mechanical or electrical related maintenance discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic equipment, and preventative maintenance
  • Previous experience using or interacting with a WMS or ERP system (i.e., SAP) preferred
  • Previous experience leading a maintenance team preferred
  • Ability to bend, twist, turn and squat, and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs during equipment repair, replacement, and installation
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
