As part of Timberland PRO’s Marketing team, develop and implement marketing programs to achieve the strategic goals of the PRO business. Establish control-related standards and procedures.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 7+. 7-10 years of experience of brand marketing experience required, knowledge of Industrial category preferred. Bachelor's Degree required; MBA desirable.
Skills:
• Knowledge of television, radio, print, OOH, digital, and social media channels.
• Understanding of market and consumer trends to effectively target marketing efforts at the PRO consumer.
Ability to interface with internal team and external agency partners, namely media buying, social media, and public relations.
• Highly developed analytic and reporting capabilities.
• Must have experience with directly managing team members.
• Ability to brief in and assess creative based on strategic goals.
• Strong written and presentation skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
Special Requirements:
Overnight domestic travel required up to 25% of time.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work with the media agency to develop yearly media plan across all mediums: television, radio, print, OOH, digital, and social media for PRO industrial and occupational markets. Conduct and draft a media analysis post campaign to assess success and make recommendations on go-forward strategy.
2. Work with agency partners, namely media buying, social media and public relations on a day-to-day basis to communicate the brand message to category influencers, the trade, and end consumer.
3. Work cross functionally with the PRO team to understand the product and market as a way to effectively target messaging and campaigns. Provide strategic direction to internal and external creative teams to ensure achievement of seasonal goals and consistency with Timberland brand positioning and creative platforms (to include OOH, in-store, fixtures, radio, direct mail, look books).
4. Develop seasonal advanced planning calendars that align with sales’ distribution plans to ensure the communication and marketing promotions are consistent and executed in a timely manner (to include packaging, naming, seasonal POS).
5. Work with internal web creative and ecomm teams to ensure Timberland PRO web site is current, refreshed as necessary, and seasonal product stories are being told.
6. Manage advertising budget, regularly analyzing program performance of initiatives to increase spending and program efficiencies and improve ROI.
7. Plan and travel to seasonal photo shoots to ensure product is accurately captured in environment and end usage.
8. Conduct market visits to stay abreast of market trends, gain competitive insights and understand Timberland PRO’s presence in the market.
9. Support Marketing Director with development of long range plans.
