Underground Project Engineer

The Underground Project Engineer is Responsible for generating all UG projects documentation and coordinating all technical activities on assigned projects and ensure effective communication and coordination between all project participants. The incumbent will incorporate the highest standards of Environmental and Safety performance in all decisions they make, and engineering plans developed/issued and adhere to all systems, standards, company rules, regulations, policies and procedures. 
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Deliver on all projects as per the baseline schedule and within budget
  • Provide cost forecast, cost variance, and accruals in PRISM as required by the finance department
  • Attend all projects meetings (daily and bi-weekly) and provide all information as required by the supervisor
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency when dealing with projects and continuously finding way to optimize projects
  • Deliver on all outputs generated from the projects, achieving all deliverables as per the baseline schedule and within budget
  • Ensure diligent engineering to support quality and accuracy of project.
  • Planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects of the site’s underground projects
  • Ensure that all underground projects are in line with the LOM and forecast
  • Generating required documentations for the projects (AFE, requisitions, SOW, RFP, etc.) as per the budget timeline in line with the capital’s project deadline  
  • Working closely with project team to ensure that all deliverables of projects are achieved on time and within budget
  • Working closely with the project controller to develop and monitor project progress (e.g. S-curve) to achieve the required deliverables of the project
  • Adjust daily priority as required for the operations efficiencies
  • File all documents and maintain the existing document filing system
  • Demonstrating ownership of the project with regards to technical aspects and project management
  • Maintain detailed progress reports of underground project activities and report project performance to management
 
Qualifications
 
  • B.S. in Mining Engineering.  Preference would be given to candidates with additional training in Business or Project Management.
  • Two to five years of experience in an underground mining position with general oversight of a mining operation is necessary. 
  • Proficiency in scheduling and cost control software (MS project, Primavera, Prism) is an asset.
  • Proficient in MS office
  • Proficient in Oracle or SAP system

Underground Surveyor

The Surveyor is accountable for supporting the Williams U/G by planning ahead and providing operations with direction and prints in all active headings. 

Underground Mine Geologist

As a member of the Technical Services and Mineral Resource Management team, the successful candidate will report to the Senior Mine Geologist and work either an 8:6 roster resident in town, or a 14:14 roster with camp accommodation and meals provided in a camp type environment. 

Supply Chain Superintendent

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and they will be responsible leading the Supply Chain function for the mine site. 

Temporary Journeyman Electricians

The Temporary Journeyman Shift Electrician is accountable to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrician is responsible for maintaining all surface and underground electrical systems in accordance to Company Standards, Ontario Hydro standards, Electrical Code, CSA standards and Federal, Provincial, and Company Safety regulations.

Reporting to the Planning Superintendent, the Mid-Term Planner is responsible for all mid-term mine planning activities.

Core Technician - 1 Year Fixed Term

Reporting to the Core Technician Coordinator, your primary duty will be to provide support in maintaining continuous operation of logging activities.

Automation Mining Engineer

Accountable for the support, development, improvement, and reliability of the various facets f the mobile, exploration, development, fixed plant automation systems in a safe, productive, and cost-effective manner.
