JOB DESCRIPTION
 
The Warehouse Associate position is responsible for the functions of receiving, inventory control, kit building, pulling, packing, and shipping. The position will also be responsible for transporting products from the distribution center to customer locations using a company vehicle.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Deliver orders to customers using company vehicles
  • Manage the proof of delivery paperwork from customers
  • Assist with loading/unloading trucks
  • Review sales orders to determine which materials and quantities must be picked from warehouse.
  • Operate forklift to pull materials from the shelves.
  • Prepare orders for shipment by ensuring accuracy and completeness of order.
  • Unload trucks and containers and sort, stack, and store products according to company established guidelines.
  • Build kits as needed to supplement inventory.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and participant in annual physical inventory counts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area.
  • When needed, use proper safety equipment such as back brace, harness, hard hat, safety shoes and other protective gear.
  • Complete additional miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Ability to lift up to 65 pounds without injury or harm.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 65 lbs in weight.
  • Excessive walking and prolonged standing.
  • Repetitive reaching, lifting, pulling and pushing.
  • Repetitive kneeling, stooping, bending, and squatting.
  • Able to climb stairs.
  • Forceful gripping, grasping, and twisting.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Must possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a clean driving record.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Forklift certification or prior experience with forklift operation is required.
  • Ability to read and understand written information presented in work related documents.
  • Ability to work effectively with others towards a common end goal and be a strong team player
  • Knowledge of products carried by the company, pipes, valves, and fittings, is highly preferred.
