The Waubetek Business Development Corporation is seeking a Finance Officer with excellent financial skills, organizational abilities and a strong, proven work ethic who will work alongside our Manager of Finance.
 
Qualifications:
 
This important position in the organization requires an individual with an educational background in accounting, who has excellent computer and numeracy skills as well as bookkeeping experience.
 
All applications from potential candidates should address their ability to meet the following additional qualifications:
 
a) Knowledge and experience with SAGE accounting software and Excel.
b) Proficiency in business math;
c) Proven ability to meet deadlines;
d) Strong organizational skills and self-motivational skills; and
e) Naishnaabemaang shwii go washme ndawendaagod Duties:
a) Preparing, processing and recording accounts payable and accounts receivables;
b) Performing data entry, preparing bank reconciliations, reviewing/verifying all cheque requisitions, processing client claims for payment, preparing expense claims, and filing;
c) Preparing all financial reports for the organization and assisting with budget preparations and other duties as assigned; and
d) Administering petty cash.
