Covia is looking for a dynamic Welder who will have a positive impact on the Maintenance team at its St. Canut location.
$29.61/hour
The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:
- Read plans and follow procedures
- Take initiative and propose solutions to mechanical maintenance problems
- Perform various mechanical maintenance work
- Work in a team and safely to minimize production interruptions
- Use all personal protective equipment including respirator and helmet, goggles and safety boots
- Work at heights using equipment against falls
- Work in difficult climatic conditions (cold, heat, rain, humidity and snow)
- Be available for emergency calls outside normal working hours when the plant is shut down
The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
- Professional diploma in welding required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in this field or equivalent
