WMC is looking to hire absence management consultants. This role will support the services under Workplace Medical Corp.’s (WMC) Absence Management Division. These services include conduct absence management audits and assisting clients with implementation of absence management initiatives.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility is that this candidate will be the subject matter expert in absence management and required experience in primary absence management topics including (i) occupational and non-occupational disability claims management (ii) employee health & wellness programs and (iii) employee disability benefits and (iv) absence management program best practices.
This position will be work with employers in an advisory capacity providing the following services:
- Absence management program audits
- Supporting the clients in implementing absence management best practices
- Provide ongoing guidance support
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of implementing best practices for employers that have resulted in strong early intervention strategies and sustainable results in improving the performance of the absence management program.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Conducting absence management audits with employers
- Writing formal audit reports
- Conducting presentations on audit findings and recommendations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Post-secondary education in a related field including, Disability Management, Human Resources or Labour Relations
- Certified Consensus Based Disability Management Auditor (CBDMA) or equivalent
- Certified Psychological Health & Safety Advisor or Certified Mental Health First Aid Canada Instructor – Canadian Mental Health Association
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in an advisory role; disability claim administration, account management, reporting
- In the Absence Management industry working with employers
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
Arrangement & Compensation
- Contract, Part-time, travel may be required
- Primary location, GTA, South West Ontario
- Compensation is commensurate of experience

Experienced First Aid Instructors
WMC is actively seeking professionals with first aid training experience and a strong understanding of prehospital care to deliver our WSIB accredited first aid program to clients throughout Ontario.
