As a Sales Account Representative for our mining technology company, you will be a member of a strategic sales and marketing team with the goal of educating, servicing and supporting our existing clients and resellers to ensure they have what they need, when they need it. Primary Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of accounts - Establish and maintain business sales relationships with current clients (70%), resellers (20%), and new clients (10%).
• Present/Demonstrate and sell company products and services (existing and new) to the portfolio - Plan and execute consistent on-site visits, calls and action items.
• Prepare presentations, quotes, proposals and sales contracts.
• Business analysis (needs assessments) and education of clients to assist in selecting products/services best suited to their needs.
• Coordinate sales efforts/initiatives with marketing, sales management and other FLS technical services.
• Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity and track completion.
• Identify sales prospects where feasible and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
• Assist team in the development and maintenance of sales materials and current product knowledge.
• Assist in the management and consistent usage of sales tools, CRMs, etc.
• Identify and resolve client concerns with assistance of support team.
• Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
• Coordinate with company managers and staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
• Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
• Responds to all inquiries, cancellation requests, and sales requests within specified timeframe (SLAs).
• Participates in continued education to learn about new products and improved sales techniques.
• Tracks personal sales statistics and submits them to Sales Manager.
• Other duties as assigned or as volunteered.
• Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
• Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, presentations.
• Assist in follow-up for collection of payment.
• Assist with coordination of shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services for your accounts where applicable.
• Provide support/training for the team and new sales employees.

 

Qualifications / Skill Requirements

• Experience in B2B sales and marketing and/or post-secondary degree in sales and marketing an asset.
• Able to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in technology usage (tools and applications).
• Interest and ability to learn, understand and then educate others on complex communications and tracking systems for mining industry.
• Experience and/or knowledge of technical sales an asset.
• Strong reading, writing, verbal and math skills required.
• Strong propensity to action on issues immediately - call instead of email, drive to location for in-person meetings where feasible, avoid procrastination etc.
• Ability to persuade and influence others.
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations / speak to groups easily and with confidence.
• Ability to ask questions.
• Ability to learn about new concepts, products, technology, and to deliver new knowledge quickly.
• Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials (with editorial support).
• Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
• Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
• Work requires significant travel to current and potential clients (50%).
• Requires the possession of a valid driver’s license, own vehicle.
• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires significant travel (50%), requires overnight travel with occasional weekends and/or evenings.

 

Pay / Compensation

Compensation: based on experience, knowledge, general aptitude
Probationary period (3 months): Base salary
Employee status: Base salary with benefits package + commission package based on performance

Inside Sales & Administration Representative
Working conditions are normal for an office environment (fast paced etc). Work requires travel for sales / marketing purposes as needed (10%) and requires overnight travel with rare weekends and/or evenings for events, sales, training or trade shows.
