How well do you know your forklift chain?

Myth: Load chains will stretch in normal use and it is not a major concern. The chain anchors are designed to accommodate for the chain stretch that occurs.

Fact: Load chains do not stretch. They wear out! The elongation that occurs is from the pins being worn through by the chain leaves. This wear is not readily visible and must be measured with a special load chain wear gauge.
