2016 AWS ALUMINUM CONFERENCE

Cleveland – Four leading Lincoln Electric aluminum welding authorities will dive deep into this area of expertise at the upcoming 19th Annual Aluminum Conference sponsored by the American Welding Society (AWS), Sep. 20-21, at AWS Headquarters in Miami. These Lincoln Electric subject matter experts will present six sessions over the course of the two-day conference.
 
Frank Armao, director, aluminum welding technology, Lincoln Electric, will discuss “The Aluminum Designation System,” at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20. He also will delve into “Gas Metal Arc Welding of Aluminum Alloys” at 2 p.m. that same day.
 
Mikael Carriere, welding technologist – aluminum consumables, Indalco Alloys – Lincoln Electric Company of Canada will present, “Metal Preparation for Aluminum Welding,” at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 1:45 p.m., Carriere will discuss, “The GMAW Welding of Thick Aluminum Plates for Shipbuilding Applications.”
 
Chris Smith, project manager, Wolf Robotics, a Lincoln Electric Company, will present, “Friction Stir Welding Equipment Solutions and Processing of Aluminum Alloys,” at 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
 
Also on Wednesday, Jian Zhang, weld technology center and applications manager, Indalco Alloys – Lincoln Electric Company of Canada, will discuss, “A Review on Joining Aluminum Alloys to Steels.”

Assembler
