Belterra Corp.

Delta History

May 5, 2021

Belterra Corporation, BC Belting at the time, moved into a brand-new building located in Delta British Columbia in 1995. This location was not only a service and distribution center but also BC Beltings corporate headquarters. BC Belting had moved to Delta from Bridgeway Street in Vancouver because the company had grown and needed more room for staff, inventory and increased service offerings. By 1995 Delta was the central warehouse for the growing company which also had locations in Prince George, Edmonton and Calgary.

Initially the Delta move was due to the acquisition of Mainland Industries which had locations in both Vancouver and Prince George. Subsequent acquisitions by 1999 included Midwest Belting & Hose, Northern Belting, OK Belting & Lakehead Belting. There have been more since and there will most likely be more to come.

The Delta Branch has grown from its origins as an industrial belt sales and service supplier to becoming the leading “one stop” solutions provider for material handling in the lower mainland.

The branch is moving after 26 years because the corporate arm of the Delta location moved to its own building a few years back and as more of our customers moved further East, it became apparent that in order to maintain and grow business, the branch also needed to relocate.

We asked a few of the Delta employees what their favorite memory from the Delta branch is and they all said the people. “It’s all the great people we worked with. A lot of them are still in the industry and have grown within Belterra and outside. A lot of good people in this industry come from Belterra Delta.”

Everything we are today originated out of this location.
