Reference letter regarding Triodetic of Arnprior Ontario
Prepared by - Brent Crooks Vice President
This letter is in reference to the company Triodetic based in Arnprior Ontario. NCC has completed a project with this company in Iqaluit Nunavut.
The project was the St Jude’s Cathedral new construction that was destroyed by fire.
The City of Iqaluit's Anglican Church is a major component of the community and its people in the Arctic community. It was not an easy task the original Church was shaped like an Igloo. Recreating this shape and structure was an arduous task.
The initial attempt was with a Dome builder from Vancouver, they tried with wood and due to the size of the facility they had issues with the Engineering, and then could not afford to continue falling into bankruptcy. The second entity tried with Glulam proposals and the result was a too many large wooden beams that would have looked odd.
Then we visited Triodetic and saw their capability using the tubing and cladding. The product they supplied was superior in all ways. Fire resistant metal and Engineering that reflected the Igloo shape and concept. The company worked with us and the St Jude's group patiently and diligently until we achieved the correct appearance. The final result was a better looking building than the original building, and surpassed the Architects replacement design.
Triodetic took time to ensure the colours were correct, that the shape of the entry curve to meet the actual Dome worked and looked like an Igloo. Triodetic also made great efforts on the Visor overhang at the main entry doors by dismantling and rebuilding the detail to improve the look of the entry at their own cost We did not ask them to perform this revision. They felt the improvement needed to be done. They are extremely conscious of the product they deliver.
Triodetic also has very good Project Management; they kept us informed and updated. During major construction phases they provided daily progress reports both from site and head office. The on site crew was polite and respectful of all visitors and accommodating to all inquiries.
I have 40 years construction experience and this was one of the most enjoyable projects I have worked on. Low stress levels, good positive on site management, excellent Design and Engineering. This is an excellent company and very well managed.
The customer service and handling supersedes most companies. They were truly a pleasure to deal with.
I can not recall any negative treatment from them, or any deficiencies.
The scheduling and delivery was accurate and concise, there were no extensions or delays.
If a verbal discussion is required I would be happy to talk with anyone on this company's performance. They worked very hard to do a good job and provide a superior product for our congregation. This document is a reflection of the effort they made on our Project.
