Modern Mining & Technology Sudbury

MMTS at N.A.M.E

Sep 11, 2014

On September 10th and 11th, Modern Mining Technology Sudbury (MMTS) will be hosting over 125 secondary school students at the North American Mining Expo Conference (N.A.M.E.). The students will be encouraged to explore the conference exhibits, meet and network with suppliers and learn about the modern technologies used to uncover the mineral resources in Ontario. They will be able to discover an array of opportunities that the mining industry may present to them as they choose their career paths. They will also be encouraged to learn about the industry’s social responsibilities to the environment and communities.

The goal of Modern Mining and Technology Sudbury, is to excite young people about the future of mining innovation in Greater Sudbury. We want our next generation to be educated about the abundant variety of career options available to them, while our community at large is proud to live in a place that is recognized world-wide as a centre of mining and technology excellence.

MMTS seeks to ensure our sector’s continued growth and the future sustainability of our community through the education of our local youth.
