ODG Sponsored Waterloo Hybrid Team Placed First at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
As a sponsor of the Waterloo Hybrid Team from the University of Waterloo, Ontario Drive & Gear is proud to share the news of their first place overall finish at the Formula Hybrid SAE competition at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Waterloo Hybrid was the first team to pass all technical inspections and placed first in the Autocross and Endurance events. The team also broke the record for the farthest distance ever driven in the Endurance event with a total of 33 km.
The competition, for which students must design, build, and compete with a single-seat, hybrid-electric, open-wheel race car, is regarded as the toughest in the SAE Collegiate Design Series. Teams from all over the world participated in this international competition, coming from as far away as India and Turkey.
