Emperor Engages Norda Stelo for Gap Analysis at Lac Pelletier Project

May 7, 2025

Emperor Metals has brought in Val-d'Or-based Norda Stelo to conduct a detailed Gap Analysis Study at its Lac Pelletier Gold Project in Quebec, advancing the project toward its potential mining phase.

"The commencement of work at Lac Pelletier marks a significant milestone for Emperor Metals, distinguishing us from other junior exploration companies," said CEO John Florek. "This acquisition positions Emperor as a potential near-term cash-flow producer."

The mandate includes compiling a full register of environmental permits and authorizations to date, along with identifying any additional regulatory requirements. Norda Stelo's team of geographers, biologists, and geomatics specialists will deliver a comprehensive environmental analysis. With decades of mining project experience, Norda Stelo has supported over 30 mining companies globally in environmental and social impact assessments, permitting, and technical services.

Lac Pelletier features up to 3.3 km of completed underground development, a vent raise, and historical prefeasibility and feasibility studies. It holds a mining permit allowing production of up to 1,000 tons per day and boasts more than 100,000 meters of historical drilling.

The 2025 plan includes advancing permitting processes to enable dewatering of underground infrastructure, re-evaluating historical core and resource data, applying for drilling permits, and developing an updated Initial Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). The project is guided by a 2022 NI 43-101 Technical Report outlining 89,400 ounces of Measured and Indicated resources at 4.08 g/t gold and 137,600 ounces of Inferred resources at 3.89 g/t gold. Emperor notes these historical estimates must be verified by an independent Qualified Person to meet CIM standards.

The Lac Pelletier property spans 25 mining claims and a mining lease covering 558 hectares, located 4 km southwest of Rouyn-Noranda. It shares a key structural zone with Agnico Eagle’s Wasamac Gold Deposit. Emperor cautions that there is no certainty the Lac Pelletier property will match Wasamac’s resources.

Key highlights include 105,000 meters of historical drilling, over 3.3 km of underground development, historical bulk sampling with 96.3% recovery, and promising drill intercepts such as 22.4 meters at 7.6 g/t gold and 6.2 meters at 24.8 g/t gold.

The project benefits from excellent infrastructure and significant historical investment, with an estimated $70 million in prior expenditures.
