Since 1994, Dumas has evolved from a small French-Canadian owned boutique underground mining contractor to an international full-service underground mining contractor. With more than 2,000 highly qualified and safety-focused employees, Dumas continues to enjoy steady growth in high-demand markets.

Formation of Creeco Dumas Mining Inc., a strategic partnership between Dumas and Cree Regional Economic Enterprises Company (CREECO), to pursue mining development contracts with resource companies seeking to establish operations throughout Canada. |
June 2011 |
Dumas and JCHX Mining Management, a leading Chinese mining contractor, form a strategic alliance to support Chinese clients with projects in Dumas’ core markets of Canada and Latin America. |
February 2011 |
Dumas acquires International Specialized Mining Services (ISMS), a Central American focused underground mining contractor with operations in Mexico and Guatemala. |
October 2010 |
Acquisition of L&L Contratista Minera (L&L), the only mining contractor in Peru with expertise in shaft sinking. |
September 2010 |
New headquarters established in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to centralize management resources and position for international growth. New corporate brand unveiled, introducing a streamlined new logo and complementary branding elements. |
2008 |
Pala Investments, a Switzerland-based international investment company, becomes a strategic investor of Dumas. |
2007 |
Work commences at Lakeshore Gold’s Timmins Mine in Ontario, where Dumas played an integrated role in the concept and design stage through to development, completing project work in late 2012. |
2005 |
Dumas begins a shaft sinking and ore production project at Aurizon’s Casa Berardi Mine in remote northern Quebec; ore production mining services continue through to 2012. |
2002 |
A development contract with Xstrata Copper’s Ontario-based Kidd Mine is secured; Dumas has since excavated more than 5,000 metres per year at the mine. |
1998 |
The company is awarded a development and rehabilitation project with Goldcorp’s Hoyle Pond Mine in Ontario. |
1994 | Dumas Contracting Ltd. is founded – and the first office is opened – by Mr. Daniel Dumas in Timmins, Ontario, Canada. |
