LAB

Aug 21, 2013

Looking for exceptional turn around time? Our company has helped to provide clients both workplace and DOT, the best turn around time in the industry. The primary lab contracted by DriverCheck, is one of the largest substance abuse testing labs in Canada. DriverCheck as a company is among our lab's largest clients.

DriverCheck's lab is fully SAMHSA accredited and certified by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, meaning it meets Federal standards for urine testing. All urine specimens, whether DOT or workplace, are processed with the same DOT, or DOT look-alike, chain of custody. At least one out of every 45 specimens tested is a blind control sample. Unlike some labs, ours performs adulteration testing as well as d- and l- isomer testing.

The lab maintains an efficient courier system to transport the specimens from the collection sites to the lab for testing. Negative results without any complications are transmitted to the MRO the same day specimens are received by the lab provided they are received by the lab in time.

Most of DriverCheck's over 350 collection sites across Canada are high speed. Negative samples that are collected before the courier arrives will be reported to your company by our MRO before 5pm next day, if your company has a confidential method of receiving results.

For DOT clients, a specific account number for each company at the lab enables us to send the DOT-required company-specific lab statistics to you semi-annually. In full compliance with DOT regulations, the utmost confidentiality is maintained at all times.

There are three main testing panels used by the lab. The 5-panel is the one required by the DOT. Most workplace industries utilize this same 5 panel testing model. The 5 drugs tested for are: marijuana, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), amphetamines, and cocaine. The lab also uses a non-DOT 7-panel and a non-DOT 10-panel. The 7-panel consists of marijuana, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), amphetamines, cocaine, benzodiazepines, and barbiturates. The 10-panel consists of marijuana, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), amphetamines, cocaine, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, methaqualone, propoxyphene, and methadone. Our lab will customize drug testing panels on request according to a company's specific needs.
