Inspection and Certification of Lift Equipment

HITE SERVICES LIMITED specializes in the inspection and certification of lift equipment of all types. We have non-destructive/visual inspectors on staff and an independent Professional Engineer, in the province of Ontario and the state of Michigan to practice engineering. 

 

We share our inspection results with manufacturers so that our collective efforts can be quickly focused on problem areas, and thus ensure that our inspection procedures adequately cover components found to be susceptible to in-service failure.

 

Through participation in standards writing committees and user association committees, we ensure that our technology is current and appropriate. 

 

Our inspections incorporate visual inspection, nondestructive inspection, operational checks, magnetic particle and ultrasonic nondestructive testing, and certification by a professional engineer. 

 

Regulations require that each lifting device be examined at least once a year by a competent person to confirm its capability of handling the maximum rated load.
