Moventas strives to be the leader in developing new products and technologies for environmentally friendly energy production. Environmental concerns are carefully considered during product design and manufacturing. In our own environmental performance, we follow the ISO 14001 standard. All new and a majority of old Moventas product information is stored in a Product Lifecycle Management system that ensures traceability of all products sold and components and materials used.

 

During production, the gear unit is subject to strict monitoring criteria. For example, the material quality and dimensional accuracy of the gear unit components are meticulously inspected before the assembly using advanced technical methods. After that assembly each gear unit undergoes a test run on the test bench where special customer requirements can also be taken into consideration.

 

All our key manufacturing processes are performed in-house to ensure that all process stages achieve a consistently high quality level.

 

Moventas Gears Oy is certified with the following systems:

• Quality Management System since 1993 in compliance with the international standard ISO 9001

• Environmental Management System since 1999 in compliance with the international standard ISO 14001

The certificates have been issued to Moventas Gears Oy Sales, R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and their support functions of mechanical power transmission. These certificates are valid in all Moventas locations.
