Our gear units and service functions incorporate a great deal of experience and expertise that extends back over 120 years. Santasalo Moventas' predecessors include several quality brand names in mechanical power transmission. We are the original equipment manufacturer for Metso Drives, Valmet, Asea, Wärtsilä and Rauma-Repola. We are independent of these brands and their current owners, but provide extensive service for gearboxes with these brands.

 

We own the brands Santasalo, Moventas and Sauerwald (SAWA), and currently manufacture gearboxes under the brands Santasalo (industrial gears) and Moventas (wind gears).

 

As a full-scope supplier, Santasalo Moventas supplies mechanical drive solutions for rebuilds, modernizations and new installations on a turnkey basis. Our main customer segments are

• Pulp and paper industry

• Mining and mineral processing

• Energy and sugar industries

• Offshore  and marine industries

• The cement industry

• Renewable energy industry; wind, tidal and wave 
 

We also deliver application-specific drive solutions for other industrial processes such as mixing, agitating and aeration, conveying, pumping, pyro processing, hoisting, pressing and slewing.
