WEICON - Partner of Sports
On this web page, we will give you a brief overview of WEICON's commitment in sports.
We have been supporting clubs and events in various areas for many years - in football as a sponsor of the German Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund, third division team SC Preußen Münster, TSV Handorf and Gelb-Schwarz Hohenholte; in racing the Grüngas-Viper von Titus Dittmann and our own team at Rad am Ring. In endurance sport, we support the City Triathlon in Münster and the Münster Marathon.
Borussia Dortmund
In 2007, we started our support of the German Bundesliga team of Borussia Dortmund. Since then, we have also been members of the Business Club 09. In 2011, we launched the WEICON BVB Special Edition - 14 different WEICON products in a black and yellow design - the colours of Borussia Dortmund.
This range of special products includes for example a cable stripper, a repair adhesive for football-shoes, a cockpit spray, a foam cleaner and a "Championship Trophy Cleaner", a spray for the cleaning of stainless steel.

SC Preußen 06 e.V. Münster
Since 2006, we have been official sponsor and business partner of the team of SC Preußen Münster.
Our commitment for this 3rd league team is very important - as Münster-based company it is an affair of the heart to support a team in our hometown.
Skate-aid
Since 2010, we have been sponsor of the Green Gas Viper race car. With this engagement, WEICON supports the skate aid foundation established by Mr. Titus Dittmann.
Skate aid supports projects for children and teens and development aid. With the regular participation of his Viper at races, German skateboard pioneer Titus Dittmann draws the attention to his project and creates public interest. We are very pleased to join him in his efforts.
Volksbank Münster Marathon
Since 2007, we have been sponsor of the Volksbank Münster Marathon.
Many employees of WEICON enjoy sports and take part in the marathon relay every year. Every year we register up to ten relay teams for the marathon in our home town. Some staff members even run the full distance every year. This means that more than one third of the entire staff took part in this well-known Münster sporting event – definitely a number to be proud of!
Sparda Münster City Triathlon
Since 2008, we have supported the City Triathlon in Münster.
Every year, some of our employees take part in this sports event to compete with other sportsmen in swimming, cycling and running.
TSV Handorf 1926/64 e.V.
Since 2007, we have been the main sponsor of the soccer team of TSV Handorf, close to Münster.
SV Gelb-Schwarz Hohenholte e.V.
Since 2005, we have supported the junior teams of Gelb-Schwarz Hohenholte and have been sponsor of advertising boards at the Teltheide stadium.
WEICON Cup
Since 2005, employees and friends of the company have formed teams for our annual soccer tournament - the WEICON Cup.
In two divisions, two teams qualify for the final match where the players then fight for the trophy. The main point, however, is not the success and the title - fun and team spirit are much more important for the players. The WEICON Cup is a well-established event in our company agenda.
"Rad am Ring "
In 2012, a WEICON team participated for the first time in the cycle race at the legendary Nuremberg Ring.
The Ring is also known as the “Green Hell” - hard climbs alternate with extremely fast downhills, and cyclist must be extremely concentrated. The participation in this remarkable racing event was so joyfull for our team that we will take part in the next "Rad am Ring" in 2013, too.
