The Company

Founded in 1962, Ontario Drive & Gear Limited operates from a 105,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in New Hamburg, Ontario. ODG has established the ARGO as a world leader in amphibious vehicles and its industrial division has built a solid reputation for the design and manufacture of quality gears and transmissions, as well as the distribution of KTR Power Transmission Couplings. To satisfy the growing demand for its products and innovative developments, ODG has aligned its business strength in two divisions: the Vehicles Division and the Gear Division.

Gears and Transmission

ODG’s commitment to high quality industrial products is backed by the latest gear manufacturing technology and a team of professionals dedicated to excellence in customer satisfaction. The Gear Division operates in a state-of-the-art environment designing and producing small to medium volume gears and transmissions to our customers' specifications. ODG’s capabilities include the latest in CNC gear cutting, CNC machining, gear shaving, broaching and key-seating.

 

 

 

Couplings

ODG is the authorized master distributor and representative for KTR Power Transmission products in Canada. KTR provides international excellence in power transmission technology with worldwide service. ODG carries an extensive stock of KTR couplings and is able to offer complete engineering solutions and support to OEMs, and Maintenance personnel for their coupling requirements. ODG services the Canadian market with a qualified network of agents and distributors.

 

 

Argo

The amphibious, all terrain ARGO is sold worldwide and has proven its capabilities as a reliable off-road vehicle in some of the world’s most remote regions. The 6x6 or 8x8 ARGO models seat up to six passengers, making it possible to enjoy the great outdoors with family and friends. Other applications include hunting, fishing and bush trekking through mud, across water and over snow. More and more commercial users in the utility, natural resource and public sectors rely on the ARGO in the toughest off-road conditions, all year round.ODG has developed a wide range of options offering greater comfort, protection and convenience. The all season ARGO is marketed through a growing network of stocking distributors and dealers worldwide.

 

Centaur

As a leader in both amphibious vehicles and power transmission technology, ODG proudly introduces a new dimension in the evolution of the amphibious all-terrain vehicle. The innovative CENTAUR is designed to meet the demands of the commercial off-road vehicle market, transporting people and equipment through challenging terrain inaccessible to other traditional all-terrain vehicles. The new CENTAUR features include conventional, automotive style driver controls, efficient CVT - Centaurmatic drive system and 1500lb carrying capacity. The vehicle's rear cargo area can be readily adapted to suit customer requirements. The amphibious Centaur has established itself with utility companies for fiber optic cable installation and in the management of natural resources. Other markets include the public sector, defense, resort lodges & outfitting, and agriculture & forestry.

 Utilize pollution prevention techniques such as material substitution, source reduction, recycling and other treatment or control technologies to eliminate or reduce emissions to the natural environment.

 Effectively communicate to ODG employees, suppliers, carriers, customers and the local community.

 Periodically review and demonstrate continuous improvement initiatives regarding ODG’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
