- Competency in Basic Mill Common Core & Alignment to Mill Classification Guideline (KLG Mill Operations Training Classification Guideline)
- Maintain records of the receipt and analysis of the samples, standards and reference material. Organize work space to process samples from the mine following a chain of custody procedure
- Crush and pulverize ore samples to the consistency required. This is our Standard Operating Procedure
- Weigh, doctor and mix samples, load and unload furnaces, fuse and cupel samples following Standard Operating Procedures
- Transfer beads to wet lab for digestion and analyze results
- Responsible for checking that the QA/QC is within acceptable limits
- Operate all computer hardware, software and related applications in the analysis process and record keeping
- Prepare reports and report results to the appropriate departments
- AA machines- if AA is plugged adjust to unplug. Notify Senior Assayers of any other issues
- Check to see if any maintenance is required on equipment. Perform basic maintenance as required
- Keeping work areas clean to maintain a safe clean working environment
- Prioritize work and multi-tasking while following SOP’s and working safely and lead by example
- Senior Assayer duties on Nightshift
- Any additional duties that is necessary to operate in a safe manner keeping in mind that quality and safety is our goal
- Four (4) years of experience to be considered competent
- Good oral and written communication skills
- An eye for detail and accuracy
- Aptitude for prioritization of repetitive tasks (efficiency)

The Core Technician will be responsible to support the Geology departments by processing and sampling/cutting of diamond drill core.
The Assayer 1 processes Mine Production and Exploration samples for grade control providing vital information in a timely method to assist in key decision making relating to mining/geology activity and reconciling samples entering and exiting the Mill Process.
The Mine Planner/EIT will be responsible for mine planning within the 3 - 6 month planning interval.
