SolidCAD is Canada’s leading Platinum reseller for Autodesk.  As result of our on-going growth, we are seeking to hire an experienced Project Manager who will oversee the development and fulfilment of professional services to meet the demands of our clients across Canada.  If you are a highly motivated individual with experience leading technology implementations in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry, consider applying with us! 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Proactively work with the AEC team, both account managers and technical consultants. Develop high-value service opportunities that align with team goals and leverage our technical strengths.  Perform assessments, discovery calls and scoping exercises.  Develop formal responses including proposals, recommendations, statements of work, project plans and business cases.
  • Be accountable for all outbound quotes and proposals for services. Check gross margin, terms of sale and all costs including travel and incidentals.  Validate what is being proposed and determine if a deal can be upsized. 
  • Coordinate and lead an internal team to generate responses to RFP’s and public tenders.
  • Oversee schedule and timelines for technical consultants, allocate work and communicate expectations for work assigned to them.
  • Be responsible for the success and profitability of projects through managing budget, costs, expenses, scope, resources and time.
  • Oversee all aspects of invoicing and project reporting, including financial summary, % complete, budget versus actual, time remaining, tasks to go, etc.
  • Use project management tools to schedule resources, assign work, manage sequence and dependencies.
  • Manage vendors and sub-contractors involved in a project delivery. Create working agreements with assigned tasks and expected deliverables.
  • Host regularly scheduled meetings with your project team and project stakeholders. Record meeting minutes, delegate action items, review work completed and record issues, risks, etc. 
  • Oversee the creation of Salesforce projects and be responsible for accurate and up-to-date record keeping of time logs from the project team.
  • Assist marketing in the creation of project success stories, packaged service offerings and content for the website and social media channels. Participate in marketing events.
 
Job Requirements:
 
  • Proficiency with design and collaboration applications including Revit, BIM360, Bluebeam and MS Office applications; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
  • Continually expand your knowledge of features and workflows in the latest software releases within the AEC product portfolio.
  • Work with your industry team to develop and promote sales strategies for services which complement the technology sold by your team.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in project management within the AEC industry
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Able to work under varying workloads, often with tight deadlines and under pressure. Able to take initiative and proactively determine requirements to see efficient completion of tasks.
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills preferably in French and English for optimal interactions between clients, technical team, sales team, administration, and management.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Effective organization and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain consistent and accurate records in CRM including emails, phone-outs, tasks, meetings,
 
Time & Billing records and technical support cases.
 
  • Participate in marketing events and trade shows as required. Develop presentation materials and demo datasets needed for sales and marketing efforts.
  • Participate in AEC team meetings and technical team meetings.
  • Own a valid driver’s license, willing to travel within Canada & USA if required.
