The purpose of Logistics and Procurement Assistant position is to (1) ensure all customers (both internal and external) orders are processed and delivered on a timely basis, including coordination with shipping providers where required; and (2) create purchase orders and coordinate with both suppliers and shipping companies to ensure products are available when required.

Desirable
 
  • Some college, no degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Supply Chain is desired, but not required
  • 2-3 years’ experience in Logistics/Supply Chain/Procurement desired not required
  • Experience/knowledge in international shipping preferred
  • Experience in dealing with multiple currencies
 
Specific Duties
 
  • Acknowledge Receipt of Orders from Customers
  • Provide quotes to customers  
  • Request quotes from freight companies
  • Create Sales Order/Transfer Orders
  • Create Trial Product Sales Orders  
  • Send picking slips to freight contact  
  • Create CI and PL as necessary  
  • Create BOL  
  • Liaise with customs brokers etc  
  • Send client BOLs/confirmation of product delivery
  • Enter freight costs against Transfer Orders  
  • Rebill freight charges to clients
  • Create Credit Rebates for Commissions
  • Liaise with finance team to update sales orders daily  
  • Create Purchase Orders
  • Create Shipment Processing  
  • Request quotes from suppliers    
  • Liaise with freight providers, customs brokers to coordinate shipments  
  • Batch Record Control
 
On a Monthly Basis:
 
  • Send Warehouse on hand reports
  • Create Sales Order for Warehouse Consumption
