- Providing excellent customer service to our clients/dealers and the public, including assisting with de-escalating difficult situations.
- Ensure all Service Technicians are trained to repair our product/equipment, including electric (both AC & DC), pneumatic and gasoline-powered tools.
- Oversee and assess FSC Staff activities and provide them with regular performance-related feedback.
- Ensures the appropriate service levels are maintained in the Factory Service Centre.
- Repair customer tools/products when necessary.
- Handle major incidents that cannot be resolved by Service Technician.
- Work with management on customer service initiatives.
- Maintain documentation pertaining to customer sales and work orders.
- Ensuring the Factory Service Centre is professional, clean, and organized consistent with the Makita brand image.
- Provide support to other Service Centres and other Makita departments as required.
- Perform other job-related duties/projects as assigned.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) year of related experience repairing tools/equipment.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge and experience with the use of and repairing electric (both AC & DC), pneumatic and gasoline-powered tools.
- Communication skills: verbal and in writing, ensuring you are clear and concise.
- Interpersonal skills: to develop good working relationships with our customers and staff.
- Comprehension: Ability to read, interpret and explain documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and service/repair manuals.
- Planning and organizational skills: to prioritize the FSC’s workload.
- Leadership and Teamwork: ability to lead and work in a team environment.
- Inventory Management: inventory control, shipping and receiving an asset.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment, with the ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time, also includes a lot of reaching, lifting, pushing/pulling, bending, and twisting.
