Vaccine Planning & Liaison Specialist

Reporting to the COVID-19 Vaccine Program Manager, and in collaboration with coordinators, this position will play a lead role in planning the ongoing delivery of the COVID-19 vaccine program throughout the Porcupine Health Unit area. Responsibilities will include coordination and collaboration with the planning implementation teams, communication, and liaison with internal and external community partners. The successful candidate must be able to join the Vaccine Team with minimal training to begin implementing responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
 
Qualifications:              
 
  • Degree or diploma in public health, health promotion, social sciences or related discipline;
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Ontario’s Covid-19 vaccination plan will be an asset;
  • Knowledge of program development and planning and evaluation principles;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills related to facilitation, consensus-building and consultation;
  • Experience and/or ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals, groups and communities;
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member;
  • Ability to communicate in both official languages is an asset;
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
