Centerra Gold Announces Election of Directors

Toronto, Canada, May 1, 2020: Centerra Gold Inc. (TSX: CG) (“Centerra”) announces that the 11 nominees
listed in the management information circular for its 2020 annual meeting of shareholders (the “Meeting”) held
earlier today were elected as directors of Centerra. The vote for director nominees was conducted by ballot.
258,313,664 shares were represented at the Meeting, representing 87.92% of Centerra’s issued and outstanding
common shares. The detailed results of the vote for the election of directors are set out below:

Senior Planner, Mine Maintenance

The Senior Planner will be responsible for the safe development and implantation of an effective maintenance planning program for the mining equipment fleet at Mt. Milligan.

Supervisor, Drill and Blast

Reporting to the Mine Operations Superintendent, the Drill and Blast Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the Drill and Blast team.

Mine Maintenance Reliability Engineer

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Mine Maintenance Reliability Engineer will be working with mine operations and maintenance teams to enhance the availability and effectiveness of mine equipment assets.
