Martin Raffield, Ph.D, Executive Vice President & COO

Over 25 years of experience managing underground mining operations across Canada and Africa. Most recently, Martin was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Golden Star, after joining Golden Star as Senior Vice President, Project Development and Technical Services. From June 2007 to 2011, Martin served as Principal Consultant and Practice Leader, SRK Consulting (US). Prior to SRK, he was Chief Engineer and Mine Superintendent at the Campbell Mine for Placer Dome Inc. Martin holds a Ph.D. in geotechnical engineering from the University of Wales and is a Professional Engineer registered in Ontario.

 

Graham du Preez, Chief Financial Officer

Over 20 years of finance experience, including leadership roles in a complex, publicly-traded, international mining company as well as junior mining companies. Most recently, Mr. du Preez was the Chief Financial Officer of Alloycorp Mining Inc. and Buffalo Coal Corp, both controlled by a mining-focused private equity fund as well as the Chief Financial Officer of Uranium One Inc. from June 2010 until April 2013.  Prior to joining Uranium One, Graham held positions in the financial services industry, with a focus on treasury and asset management.  Graham qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) Honours degree and an Honours Diploma (Tax) from the University of Johannesburg.

 

Timothy Campbell B.A. Hons., Executive Vice President and Secretary

Over 25 years corporate finance, regulatory compliance, going public transactions, permitting, government relations, community and First Nations consultation.

 

Shawn Howarth, MBA, B.Eng., Vice President Corporate Development

Over 15 years corporate finance, mining and capital markets experience.  Formerly an investment banker with Standard Chartered Bank.  Has worked with several public and private mining companies with a focus on corporate development activities.

 

Dan Gagnon, B.Sc., Mine General Manager, Sugar Zone Mine

Mr. Gagnon brings to Harte Gold over 30 years of experience in geology and general management from a wide range of operations across Canada. Dan started his career in geology, ending after 13 years as Chief Geologist at Musselwhite Mine in Ontario. Over the following 17 years he worked as General Manager at a number of Canadian operations, most recently the Hope Bay Project in Nunavut, Canada. Mr. Gagnon holds a Bachelor of Science with Specialization in Geology from the University of Ottawa.

 

Robert Kusins P.Geo., Resource Geologist

Over 35 years experience, underground mine geologist, geological database management, geological modelling and resource estimation. Including 10 years underground mine geologist manager, Hemlo Gold Mines.
