Filter Press

Apr 28, 2014
Compress your solids dewatering costs and waste volume
Quickly transform your liquid discharge into solid form. Presses consistently transform 2 – 5% solid solution into 30 – 35% solid sludge cakes for easy disposal. Paired with a Space-Mizer sludge dryer, your filter press is an important step in achieving ZLD.

Minimize operator attention and let gravity to the work for you. Positioned over your dryer, your press will automatically unload sludge cakes when the press cycle is complete.

Designed for long-term rugged use

With built-in failsafe technology, ConRec filter presses withstand the harshest environmental conditions:
• Pre-set pressure relief systems protect your heavy-duty double hydraulic cylinders
• An oil reservoir level indicator ensures that your filter press is well lubricated
• Double coated with corrosion-resistant paint
• Welded stainless steel frame
• Controlled pumping

Technical Features

• Heavy-duty welded cold rolled steel or stainless steel frame
• Durable hydraulic pumps and cylinders
• Stainless steel rail caps for rugged use
• Two coats of corrosion-resistant epoxy paint
• Gasketed or non-gasketed one-piece molded polypropelene corrosion-resistant filter plates
• Patented follower tail plate swivel joint for precise alignment
• Plate shifters
• Pump pressure control system (PPCS)
• Sludge removal hoppers
• Safety features: splash guards and light curtains

Factory-tested and pre-set, your filter press is perfectly customized to match your process. By adjusting the following four variables, we guarantee a perfect fit: size, leg length, hydraulic system and controlled pumping.

Size
Batch volume can range from half of a cubic foot to 100 cubic feet. We select plates based on your waste’s composition and volume ranging from 470 mm to 1500 mm
Leg Extensions
Conveniently lift your press above your Sludge-Mizer sludge dryer, disposal drum or roll-off containers with stanchions
Hydraulic Closure
Larger presses are equipped with a proprietary automatic hydraulic pump with an air filter, regulator and lubricator for smooth operation. Small presses with smaller batch loads often use manual hand-pump hydraulics
Controlled Pumping
PPC systems gently feed sludge, coating the cloth with a thin even layer of solids. The press reaches its maximum pressure at 80 PSI. Controlled escalation of sludge feed pressure delivers efficiency and prevents cloth soiling
