Creewest GP Inc.Emphasizing First Nation Employment & Subcontracting Wherever Possible A regional working group consisting of community economic development representatives from the Attawapiskat, Fort Albany, Kashechewan, Moose Cree and Weenusk First Nations brought about the initial idea for CreeWest in 2004. The group was formed in part to ensure that the participating First Nations were able to participate in the benefits arising from the construction and operations of the De Beers Canada Victor Project.

CreeWest Acquires Airline, Poised for Expansion

A regional working group consisting of community economic development representatives from the Attawapiskat, Fort Albany, Kashechewan, Moose Cree and Weenusk First Nations brought about the initial idea for CreeWest in 2004. The group was formed in part to ensure that the participating First Nations were able to participate in the benefits arising from the construction and operations of the De Beers Canada Victor Project.
Presently and whereas CreeWest in “Joint Venture” with Air Creebec has secured the contract for the DeBeers Mine for Air Transportation of the passenger and cargo movement from Timmins to Victor Site and vice versa. Air Creebec performs the work in the First Nations joint venture agreement with agreed upon remuneration split to both parties.
First Nations ownership communities consist of Weenusk , Attawapiskat , Fort Albany and Kashechewan , and is governed by a four member Board of Directors.
