WUI IS GOING VIRTUAL
We are planning a new, virtual event format. This virtual experience will provide access to educational resources on timely issues and the insights you need to keep your community safe.
The IAFC's Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) conference offers hands-on training and interactive sessions designed to address the challenges of wildland fire. If you're one of the many people responsible for protecting local forests or educating landowners and your community about the importance of land management—then this is the conference for you.
Virtual Education
The Virtual WUI conference is recognized as a high quality, in depth conference with cutting edge educational programs designed for professionals at all levels of experience. Led by industry experts, sessions and workshops are divided into three tracks:
Fire Adapted Communities - Sessions will focus on best practices in working with communities on accepting fire as part of the surrounding landscape and to create a more wildfire-resilient future.
Operations and Suppression - From the permitting process to theater-wide emergency operations coordination, these sessions focus on the most productive methods and tools designed to support wildland fire suppression operations.
Wildland Fire Policy & Tools - Discover tools and other information you can use to achieve the standard WUI toolkit to effectively and efficiently respond to wildfire.
WUI's comprehensive virtual program also offers attendees the opportunity to attend NWCG courses.
