Hydraulics for Slickline and Wireline Units
Event Details
LEVEL II
2 DAY
$1295
INSTRUCTOR-LED COURSE

Learn to:

Interpret wireline unit schematics.
Think and act in a logical way when the system goes down.
Conduct basic system tests.
Analyze wireline winch hydrostatic drives.
Follow correct system maintenance and setup procedures.

Strengthen your troubleshooting with a hands-on session on winch control and hydrostatic hydraulics.

This course is designed to be the first step in rigorous hydraulics training for wireline unit operators and maintenance personnel. Participants come away from this highly concentrated course with a solid understanding of hydraulic principles, and component design and functions. System analysis and troubleshooting skills are taught using the circuits and Live Schematics on a slickline/wireline unit.

The Ten Step Troubleshooting Process is taught with the goal of eliminating the hit or miss methods that can be so costly in terms of time and materials. Safety is stressed along with sound maintenance practices. This two-day course is taught with circuit simulation software, wireline unit schematics, and through instructor guided hands-on study of individual hydraulic components.
