LEVEL II
3 DAY
$1895
INSTRUCTOR-LED COURSE

This level two course teaches basic PLC network troubleshooting and analog I/O skills. Participants configure a complete mill network (simulated with our classroom lab of ControlLogix stations and networking gear) of PLCs with Ethernet or ControlNet and then recover that same network to proper working order on day two, after a major power outage.

Analog I/O cards for voltage and current are configured and utilized to complete a delay and variable speed windshield wiper project with potentiometers as field inputs and voltmeters as outputs (the windshield wipers).

4–20 mA analog control loops and feedback are introduced by connecting and configuring a 2-wire temperature transmitter to an analog I/O card.

Indirect addressing is introduced along with the use of the trend plotter and diagnostic modes built in to the I/O modules.

This course is taught using ControlLogix PLC stations with analog I/O panels and a ControlLogix software simulation environment.
