Secondary Oil Containment
Albarrie manufactures, engineers, supplies and installs SorbWeb™Plus secondary oil containment using patented oil reactive self-sealing smart fabric technology. SorbWeb™Plus is a maintenance free oil containment system that offers significant cost savings on both installation and operation. Nothing else on the market comes close. If you have oil filled equipment, you need secondary containment. Permeable reactive barrier geotextiles are the way to go. They allow water to pass through but seal on contact with oil.

The original SorbWeb™ Plus secondary oil containment system incorporates an oleophilic adsorbent layer, “SAM” is part of a developing green technology known as a permeable reactive barrier.
Oil Spill containment Oil Blocker Plus uses the same principles and high quality fabric as Oil Blocker but incorporates an impermeable membrane at the base of the oil spill containment to address sandy or unknown soil types.
The oil containment Vault Kits are a great solution for these concrete pad-mount foundation systems. They offer protection and reliability and are easily installed by virtually any contractor.
SorbTray Spill trays are custom designed to be mounted underneath radiators, valves and special equipment that are prone to leaks. The spill trays are shipped 100% complete with mounting hardware included. Most commonly mounted onto existing equipment these can also be designed to be freestanding. The spill trays capture drips from leaky equipment and are free-draining, making them ideal for outdoor conditions. The advantage of the SorbTray spill tray is that water will drain through the material but oil will be immobilized and trapped within.
Tundish Inserts are cost effective, temporary containment solutions for leaky valves and equipment. The Tundish insert is prefabricated with smart fabric and is simply placed under leaky valves or equipment that is prone to leaks or blowback. The Tundish insert features an oil immobilizing shell sewn into a bucket shape with a layer of oil absorbent fabric in the bottom. The water-permeable and oil-proof bucket can be placed virtually anywhere. Once the Tundish insert is filled, the oil can be drained and the insert disposed of following required corporate oil waste management guidelines.
DuraBarrier Firewalls are fire, blast, moisture and impact resistant. This modular wall system consists of two mechanically bonded sheets of galvanized steel providing complete fire protection for up to 6 hours. DuraBarrier’s cement fiber core shields your transformer and electrical equipment from heavy winds (up to category 5 hurricane conditions) and offers favourable noise reduction. The lightweight, demountable design makes installation and maintenance easy, allowing full access to your transformer when needed.
Q-Max HF is an innovative high efficiency hydrocarbon stop valve that offers 360° of radial oil removal over the entire length of the pipe giving the oil stop valve one of the highest flow rates in the industry with the longest filter life.
Barrier boom Oil Blocker was developed to help clients meet general spill containment provisions that apply to all areas of their facility which have a potential to cause an oil discharge.
Albarrie’s EsterWeb is the ideal passive oil containment system for ester-based fluids like Environtemp FR3, or BIOTEMP. Derived from vegetable oil, these can be difficult to contain with polymer solification based systems.
