Safety with rear obstacle detection

In instances where there is little room during reversing, hazardous situations can quickly arise. An effective support tool for reversing is Groeneveld's Greensight system, which provides the driver with accurate information about the space available behind the vehicle. As a result, your vehicle can be deployed safely, and with less risk of damage.

The Greensight system is switched on and automatically tested whenever the reverse gear is selected. Using ultrasonic vibrations, two sensor units on the rear of the vehicle search a predetermined field, which is split into three zones. This zone covers an area extending up to three metres behind the vehicle. If stationary or moving objects are detected in one of these zones, the Greensight system sends an acoustic or light signal in the cab, indicating that an object has been detected. Although the system is unable to determine the precise position of the object, it identifies the zone in which the object has been observed. Groeneveld also offers a system which monitors the top corners of the truck, using two additional sensor units mounted on the top of the vehicle.
